about the artist

Jonah Brock was born and raised in central Illinois before relocating to Colorado, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, receiving a B.A. in Visual Arts and Art History. While working on his undergraduate degree, he served as Co-President of the UCCS Art Club, the Visual Arts Student Representative in the Visual & Performing Arts Department Chair’s Council, and as Student Advisor at GOCA-Galleries of Contemporary Art. He has exhibited in various locations, including GOCA-Galleries of Contemporary Art in Colorado Springs, CO, the Museum of Art Fort Collins in Fort Collins, CO, and The Holy Art Gallery in London, England. In addition to his visual arts practice, he is also a skilled writer and speaker. In 2019 he performed spoken word at TEDxColorado Springs: Frontiers, and in 2021 wrote and lectured on his senior thesis, My Me Is God: Art, Mysticism, and Feminine Abjection in Western Culture.
